Sarah joined Ascension Center for Women's Health in June 2013, bringing eight years of hospital nursing with her — much of it in inpatient prenatal and obstetric care — and more than twenty years in nursing overall.

She earned her undergraduate degree and her Master of Science in Nursing at Northwestern State University, and is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the AANP. In 2022 she completed a post-master's certification in psychiatric mental health at Southeastern Louisiana University, becoming certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through the ANCC.

That dual certification is unusual, and it shapes how she practices. Women arriving in perimenopause rarely lead with "my estrogen is low." They lead with I can't sleep, I can't focus, I don't feel like myself. Sarah is credentialed to take both halves of that seriously — the hormonal picture and the mental health picture — without splitting a patient between two offices that never talk to each other.

Her clinical work spans well-woman exams, contraception, routine and adolescent gynecology, and hormone therapy including pellets — mirroring Dr. Adams' focus areas so patients have continuity whichever provider they see. Outside the office, her time goes to her sons and her family.
