Before your first visit
How video visits work
Where is telehealth available?
To patients physically located anywhere in Louisiana at the time of the visit — a licensing rule, not our preference. We do not provide care to patients outside Louisiana.
What do I need for a video visit?
A private space and a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera. No app to install — you join from a link we send. Have your medications and doses, your pharmacy, any recent labs, and your questions ready. If the connection gives out, we will call you and finish on the phone.
What can be handled by video, and what needs an office visit?
By video: peptide consultations, and — after your first visit in Gonzales — symptom and lab review, adjusting your plan, and follow-ups. In Gonzales: every new patient's first visit (peptide consultations aside), exams, pellet insertions, Emsella, and anything hands-on. If something needs an exam, we say so plainly.
How do I schedule a telehealth visit?
Call the office at (225) 647-2294 and we will find a time. Existing patients can also message us through the FollowMyHealth portal.
Hormone therapy for women
Can I get hormone replacement therapy online in Louisiana?
Yes, after your first visit. New patients come to our Gonzales office once; after that, lab review, plan adjustments and follow-ups are handled by video, as long as you are physically in Louisiana at the time of the visit. Pellet insertions and anything hands-on happen at our Gonzales office.
Can menopause and perimenopause be treated online?
Yes, after your first visit in Gonzales. Symptom review, lab review, adjusting hormone therapy and follow-ups all work well by video. A well-woman exam does not — that one we do in Gonzales.
Can women get testosterone therapy online?
Testosterone is part of the picture for many women, not only men. Because it is a controlled medication, your first visit is in person in Gonzales. From there we review your symptoms and labs by video and decide together whether it belongs in your plan — including what form, what monitoring, and what it will and will not do.
Do I need labs before starting hormone therapy?
Yes, and recent labs from elsewhere often count. We order whatever is missing to LabCorp (our preferred lab) or any lab you choose and review the results with you — in person at your first visit, by video after that.
Men's hormone health
Can men get testosterone therapy online?
Your first visit is in person in Gonzales — testosterone is a controlled medication, and we like to meet new patients properly. Labs are drawn at LabCorp (our preferred lab) or any lab you choose, and after that, follow-ups happen by video, with monitoring labs on a set schedule.
How do you get a prescription for testosterone online?
Not from a questionnaire. It starts with a real, in-person visit in Gonzales and real labs, and whether testosterone is appropriate — at what dose, in what form — is a clinical decision made with a provider who follows you over time.
Weight loss and peptides
Can I do medical weight loss online, including GLP-1 medications?
Mostly. Your first visit is in Gonzales; after that the plan and the follow-ups are handled by video, and GLP-1 medications are prescribed when they are clinically appropriate — after labs and a real conversation about what you are trying to change.
Can peptide therapy be managed by video?
Yes — a peptide consultation is the one first visit that can happen by video, and lab review and follow-ups can be too. Peptides are matched to your labs and your goals, never ordered from a form — so the visit comes first.
